Exports showed some weekly strengthening, but canola futures still closed lower to end the week.
Declines in Chicago soybean oil, palm oil, and European rapeseed all spilled over to pressure canola. Crude oil was also lower on the day. On the other hand, data from the Canadian Grain Commission showed Canadian canola exports for the week ended Nov. 16 at 284,600 tonnes, up sharply from 121,200 the previous week. However, 2025-26 year-to-date canola exports of about 1.83 million tonnes still trail well behind 3.56 million at the same time last year.
January canola was down $9.10 to $641.80, and March lost $9.30 to $654.30.
